So many of us suffer from anxiety and I am one of them. I suffer from extreme social anxiety that keeps me in my house almost 24-7. I wanted to review a self help anxiety book and see how it helped me! Let's get into this review!

What I Say:
I liked right away that the book is written by a real psychologist. A lot of books these days seem to be written by people who have no real credentials and it can harm more than help at times. It feels safer to take advice from someone who you KNOW is educated in the field you need help with! I suffer from EXTREME anxiety. It started after high school and just grew and grew. I used to be the life of the party and very social and certain traumatic things happened in my life that took that away from me and replaced it with a shell of who I was. I rarely left my house and if I did, I got very anxious and angry. This book literally helped me and is STILL helping me over come my social anxiety step by step and in my own way that works for me. The book doesnt tell you one way to over come anxiety because that doesnt work for everyone. This book helps you figure out what works for YOU individually to over come your unique anxiety and triggers. It helped me realize when I am creating the anxiety myself for unwarranted reasons and bring my self back to reality to cope with it. I have read a bunch of anxiety books that just did not fit with my personal anxiety but, this book has literally changed my life. After and during reading this, I did three major things that I would never of normally done. I went to NYC for the first time and met a BUNCH of new people, I went to the doctors for the first time in years and I went downtown without makeup on multiple times. I did all of that WITHOUT anxiety medication! The more I have pushed myself to do these things with this books help, the less anxiety I get while doing them! It has helped me so much to start to live my life and break out of the anxiety bubble that is so easy to slip into and stay. If you live with anxiety and just cant seem to find anything to help you, I HIGHLY suggest giving this book a go. It has helped me and continues to help me in ways I can not even explain!
