I am a stay at home mother with two children. My daughter is 8 and my son will be two in January. My husband works A LOT and we only have one vehicle. Funds are limited as you might of guessed. So, my question is.... For everyday of the year I am home with my children (365), how can I keep them busy and maintain their learning skills. I get in a funk where I'm pretty sure my children watch too much television or are not doing enough to stimulate themselves. Which, I know, falls on me. I don't want to continuously do the same things with them and I'm running out of ideas. They end up running around the living room screaming at the tops of their lungs or breaking something like little Tasmanian devils! I can't take them to a park or a store or anything until my husband comes home with the car. We don't have a lot of funds to get them new toys a lot. So, what I'm really asking here is, what do you do with your kids during the day to keep them busy in a constructive way? What are some fun games or crafts or ideas you use when your children are past all hope of returning with hyperness? There is such a big age gap in between my childrens ages it's hard to find something they both will like to do. I want to lay my head down at night and know I did all I could for my children and know they learned something that day and their happy. Please let me know! Even if your not a stay at home mother, if you have ideas I REALLY want to hear them!! Leave me a comment!
