As mothers or just women in general, I really feel like every now and then we need to take the time to sit down and read a good book. I personally, love trashy romance novels and love stories that sweep me away from my current world. I received this book free to review for you all so let's get right in to it!
Book Description: After eleven years of marriage, Maya is swept away on a sensual, daring and hilarious journey following a random meeting with a stranger. Through alleys fragrant with the pungent smell of fried rice, amid child beggars and vendors of psychedelic fabrics, she makes surprising discoveries about the stranger, and about herself. How far will she be willing to go?
What I Think:
When I first started reading this I had no idea how raw it truly was. Hana Goldberg is an award winning best selling author and after reading this book, I know exactly why! She is my kind of author! She takes what REALLY happens in life and made a true love story about it. At the beginning, it can be a bit confusing with how fast the characters start their journey, but after reading a couple chapters, you know exactly why. Everything is very calculated and descriptive. Its not a love story that you see on TV or that a little girl would think up in her head. It is a love story that could literally happen to any body. She makes the characters real, with flaws and issues of their own. I related so much to so many things in this book and it captivated me! The first night I almost read the whole book and that's how I know I'm reading something amazing! When the books first sentence holds my attention completely, I'm sold, and that's what this book did to me! I don't want to give too much away because this really is something you should read for yourself! It is not for the faint of heart but for the realest in us all! I would highly recommend purchasing this book. You can get it on Amazon for $3.99! It's a great deal for such an amazing book!
