We're always on the hunt for the next best thing and a lot of us love makeup palettes that can be used for a ton of different things. They are great for traveling and leave us with using less products at once. Today, we are going to be taking a look at the Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette and see if this is a good option for one of those universal palettes. Click the Read More tab for the full review! The details The Tarte Face Shaping Palette retails for $46, but it is on sale right now for $23 at Ulta! That is an amazing deal! I believe that is because they have recently come out with the Vol. 2 of the collection which is retailed at the full price. The palette consist of 12 essential shades that can define and contour your face, nose, eyes, and brows. It has 9 neutral to smokey matte shades and three sculpting face shades. The formula of the shades are microfine powders that can be for many different skin tones. They do consist of talc, silica, and mica being some of the first ingredients on the list though. Tarte does infuse their clay palettes and products with Amazonian Clay (Kaolin Clay) which helps balance and replenish the skin. That's something a lot of other brands do not offer. There is also fruit extract in their formulas so, there claims to hold true with that. So, because of those ingredients, you will get a formula that doesn't flake, crease, or cake and the colors do not fade quickly on the face. The packaging is gorgeous as most of Tarte's packaging is. Its a heavier, cardboard palette with a really nice open and big mirror. It open and closes great and has a magnetic latch to seal it when its closed. The Shades include: Journey (rosy buff)
