*Sponsored Ad* (non-paid) As most of you know, I am a skin care junkie! I love trying out new skin care and finding the best products for the best price. Skin care is one of the only beauty products that I will splurge on for the right product. Let's get into this review and see if this product is worth the splurge to me! What They Say: Advanced Retinol Pore Refining Treatment instantly reduces the appearance of enlarged pores and refines texture for a smooth, even complexion. Retinol, known to help improve cell turnover in skin, leaves pores visibly tighter and less noticeable. Skin is left looking mattified, fresher and more youthful.
What I Say: As we age, our pores tend to turn on us and and get very large. If you are acne prone and even if your not, over time, the pores get bigger and bigger around certain areas of our faces. For me, its around my nose and cheeks, my chin and between my eyes. I've tried a lot of pore fillers but, they are just temporary. So, I decided to try out the StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner in hopes that it would reduce the appearance of my pores on a permanent level. This cream is a whopping $99 for a 1.7 fl oz of product! For someone on a budget, you NEED to know if this is going to work before purchasing it. I would like to think that no one has the money to waste on a product that is $100. The formula of the product is a cream off white color. It has a very light clean smell to it. You use it in an AM and PM as your last step in your skin care. I was confused if it was to be replaced with your moisturizer or used after and I did some research on the site and still could not find that out. I just did my normal skin care routine, moisturizer and all, and then used it lastly. It says you should see your pores reduce half in size within an 8 week period. I have used it now for about 3 weeks but, I already have a pretty good opinion on the product. I have oily skin and the one thing I noticed it said was that it helps keep your face matte. This I found to be untrue. I felt where I used the product, it actually became a bit greasy after a few hours. It did not keep me matte even the very second of using it. It does feel moisturizing but definitely not matte. Even though is made me feel a bit greasy, I did not have any break outs from the product. I did, however, find that I did not like using it in the morning on days that I had to wear makeup because it made my face a lot greasier than normal. It sinks into your skin and is a truly smooth consistency. After three weeks of using the product I can DEFINITELY see a decrease in my pores so, I know for certain that the product does work. Its a slight decrease but, for me, it is quite noticeable and refreshing! I also noticed even without putting on skincare that my face is smoother and softer than it ever has been. The slight pores I had on my chin are completely gone. Around my nose and my cheek areas are my worst but, there is a definitely decrease in them as well. So, my final thoughts on this product is that it works! I like that they do not claim for it to work right away like other pore refiners. They tell you straight and the facts however, I did find it untrue that it mattifies your skin. It may for already dry skin types but for my oily skin, it added to the oil a bit. You definitely know your using a high end product when using this and for people who suffer with horribly huge pores, this could be a holy grail for you! With a little time, a bit of money, and consistency, this product is worth every penny put into it. You do not need much so, it will last you quite a long time before needing to repurchase. I would definitely buy this product for 100$ after using it for only three weeks! Where To Purchase: http://bit.ly/1gE3Gni Powered by IFabbo UA-61175427-1
