I am sure we all go through periods where we get in this rut of using the same items each day to do our makeup with. Usually, when we find something good, we stick with it. Its not a far stretch to thinking there's absolutely nothing wrong with doing that. But, for us Beauty Bloggers/Vloggers and makeup lovers, it means a ton of other items being neglected, stowed away in drawers (acrylic ones most likely) wasting away until well passed their expiration date. Come on now, you know what I mean... Don't deny it!!! Haha
I have been recently noticing that I have been using the same makeup for a while and wanted to switch it up. I found some awesome things while sifting through my collection and I wanted to share them with you! So, lets get started!!
1. Morgan Taylor Polishes
These are two out of four nail polishes that were recently sent to me as a thank you gift from Phuse Beauty. A surprising but, oh so welcomed gift! I had no idea how amazing they were!
The blue one is called Water Baby and is just the most gorgeous pastel blue. It is two coats to be opaque and dries glossy.
The green ones is called Mint Chocolate Chip and may be the only green I have ever been comfortable wearing! Its absolutely amazing and takes two coats to be opaque as well!
I used a Seche Vite top coat with them and had NO peeling, flaking, or chipping for days!!
They can be found on Amazon around the $5.00 mark.

2. Milani Rose Powder Blush in Tea Rose
This came to me through an amazing friend mail from the beautiful Lily from LilyBeauty on YouTube. She was so kind to send me out this blush. I had been searching for it for a long while! The blush isn't much swatched on your hand but it packs quite the punch on a brush! Its a matte blush and glides on with ease. I have not had any patchiness at all. It does need to be re applied throughout the day but, the color and feeling of it makes it all worth doing! They are $7.99 on the MilaniCosmetics website and to me, worth every penny! I definitely want to get my hands on more very soon. Not only are they great drugstore quality, they look amazing too! The gold packaging with the rose design is an amazing touch on anyone's vanity.

The next thing on my list is the Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Bronzer/ Blush Duo
This has got to have the most unique detailing I have seen on a makeup item...well, so far any way! It almost looks like dinosaur skin to me! The blush is a deeper pink that can be used year round for me. The bronzer I can only use in the summer when I am going for a super luminous and sheen like look. It does have a shimmer to it. I only use it to bronze up my face but, not to contour with. The bronzer, however, is SO pigmented and creamy I cant help but love it! It also is an awesome eye shadow! The blush is very finely milled and is not powdery. It has a light pigmentation that can be built up beautifully which is what you really want out of a blush. If its too pigmented you can run into the issue of looking like a clown when you don't mean to haha! With lighter pigmented blushes, you have more control to build up the color to whatever suits your skin tone best! They do offer two shades though, this being the darkest. And while the outside packaging may look a little dim, it has a magnetic closure which i find awesome and the dinosaur print completely sold me. This duo is $12.99 at Target and also something I believe is worth the money!

Another Mixed type item is the Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Peach Beach
These are probably one of the worst makeup items to judge based on how it looks on your hand. When I first swatched this I was let down, to say the least. But, when I tried it out on my face, a whole other magic started to happen!
This is a trio type make up item with a highlight, blush, and bronzer all being in the same heart shaped box together, cut in three halves. I have used these both dry and wet. It has not messed up the texture of the blush and made it a bit more pigmented. It has a beautiful sheen to it without being glittery or having an overbearing amount of glitter in it. Its like the HourGlass Ambiant Light Powder with it giving you more of a glow from within type of highlight all while bronzer up your cheeks and giving you a flush of color. I really only use it as a blush or blush topper but during the summer this has been a god send. I got it a while ago in a swap and hadn't really used it other than for a decoration on my vanity in months. So, I picked it back up this summer and I am so glad I did! This item can be found at Ulta or Sephora or on their online website but, I only got this from a swap. It is not really something i would purchase more of because of the price being $30.00. I truly believe you can get items just as good or cheaper else where but it is such a treat while I have it! If its in your budget, its definitely something to consider!
Becca Shimmering Skin Protector:
I whole heartly believe that Becca's Highlighters were sent from the gods. YES! They are a highlighter not just hyped up by the YouTube Beauty Community but, also people outside of YouTube and for good reason! They come in six different shades as well as the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter that is Limited Edition that just recently launched! Along with the Jaclyn Hill one, the other most raved about ones are the higlighters in Moonstone and Opal. I personally have the Opal one that is shown in the picture to your left! These do have a light powderiness to them but, its so creamy when applied to your face all while staying a powder. While its hard to explain, you'll have to take my word that these highlighters are among the top rated ones. With a nice tan, Opal turns you into the most beautiful Egyptian Queen! I use it on my cheeks, as an inner eye corner highlight, on my shoulders and on my chest. Moonstone is more of a pale gold tone while Opal is more of a peach toned gold and the Jaclyn Hill ones is a white gold tone with peachy undertones. If none of those are your taste, they have four other shades to choose from! They are pretty expensive coming in at $38.00 each but, Its worth saving up for or getting as a gift on a Holiday, or....selling a kid...no, wait! Just joking!! Haha....or am I??!
Maybelline Better Skin Concealer:
I got the foundation and concealer together in this specific line. I ended up using the foundation a lot more and almost forgot about the concealer! The first thing I noticed was the shades with the foundation and concealer ran a bit darker than most other colors for Maybelline and other brands. The concealer I got was in light and I am quite pale and its not something I can use as a brightening concealer. Most other concealers i have in light can be used as brightening concealers. The consistency is smooth and soft and so easy to work with though! If I use this concealer first and then put a brightening concealer over it, its pure magic. Especially if you use a damp beauty blender to work it out. This concealer really helps me with my dark circles and thats a must have for me! It totally cancels out the purple under my eyes. Its oil free and has ACTYL-C in it which is another form of Vitamin C and VERY good for your skin! You can get this at Ulta for $8.99 and right now that have a buy 1 get 1 %50 off!! They also sell them at Target where they always have coupons and deals going on.
So, that is the products, new and neglected that I have been loving this summer. Its refreshing and nice to get to go through things in your collection and use things that you used to love! Even pair them with newer products and create something new and unique! Leave me a comment and tell me which products you went back to this summer and have been loving!
